ALLEN, Ivan M. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ivan M. Allen, 95, of HIllsboro a retired farmer and carpenter died Sun Aug 20, 1978 at the Meadow Heights Nursing Home in Williamsport. Born July 20, 1883 in Jackson Twp in Fountain County he was the son of Hiram and Emma Myers Allen. He was married December 6, 1906 to Anna D. Myers who died March 14, 1919. Allen was the oldest of 10 children. He attended Wallace schools and was a member of the Phanuel Lutheran Church in Wallace. Survivors include 4 daughters: Mrs. Mary Uplinger and Mrs. Emery (Mildred) Grey of Hillsboro; Mrs. Joe (Margaret ) Dibert of Ft. Wayne and Mrs. Steve (Anna) Stephenson of Lafayette; two son, Rev. Wilbur Allen of Rothwell NM and Paul of Wallace; two brothers, Fine of Indianapolis and Rev. Emmett Allen of Seal Beach, Calif; 11 grancdch; 19 great and 3 great greats. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Karl Korbel will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends will be received after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
